The TK8 is a nonlinear crystal oven equipped with a built-in thermocontroller, designed for precise temperature control of nonlinear crystals from room temperature up to 80 °C. This device is suitable for a wide range of nonlinear crystals, including KTP, LBO, CLBO, BBO, KDP, DKDP, and LiNbO3, and is used for frequency conversion applications such as SHG, THG, OPO, SFG, and DFG. The TK8 ensures efficient phase matching, mitigates water absorption, and prevents absorption peaks in nonlinear crystals. It accommodates crystals with apertures up to 15×15 mm and lengths up to 20 mm, while the TK8L and TK8XL variants are designed for crystals up to 30 mm and 50 mm long, respectively. Each oven is specifically tailored for a given crystal aperture size and cannot accommodate different-sized crystals. Temperature can be preset at the factory or set by the user via Ekspla’s CAN-USB converter and software. The oven can operate in autonomous or present time modes. Custom versions can be manufactured for crystals with apertures up to 60×60 mm or more.
