OFC – Oxygen free high conductivity copper wire rod with the highest and most consistent quality is produced in vertical casting machines. OFC-rod can be supplied in 8.0, 12.4, 15.8, 20 and 30.0 mm diameter, pure or silver bearing copper ranging from 0.01% to 0.20% Ag, Tin and Magnesium or as per customers requirement. OFC has good weldability and does not cause hydrogen embrittlement. Alloys of OFC-rod is manufactured with a very accurate control of alloy composition and can be supplied as CuAg, CuMg or CuSn alloys, with diameters ranging from 8.0 to 20.0 mm. OFC is used for Commutators, Railway, Automotive and Heating Cables (and other applications where improved mechanical property is required.
