Short descriptionMake use of the ceramic sensing element in your custom pressure sensor. The ceramic sensor can be combined with custom electronics, housing shape, process connection and electrical termination. The modular design allows creating an initial configuration via a configurator and subsequently developing the final pressure sensor together with the manufacturer.
Ceracore UTC30 at a glance- Small form factor
The ceramic sensing element can be integrated into pressure sensors with compact dimensions (diameter from 22 mm). - Standardized pressure ranges
Ranges from 100 mbar to 100 bar provide flexible applicability. - High overload resistance
Suitable for applications that require high overload resistance. - Excellent long-term stability
High-purity ceramic (99.9% Al2O3) makes the sensor highly resistant and chemically neutral to various process media. - Versatile communication
Output signals: analog (voltage or current) and digital (SPI, UART). - Modular design
The sensing element can be combined with customer-specific housing designs.
ApplicationPressure transducer for measuring the pressure of liquid and gaseous media.
CharacteristicsDry, capacitive ceramic sensor made of high-purity (99.9%) Al2O3 ceramic, based on the USC30 sensing element.
Benefits- High overload resistance
- Excellent long-term stability
- High corrosion resistance
- Absolute and gauge ranges from 0…0.1 bar to 0…100 bar
- Reduced installation effects through optimized AVT
- Automated manufacturing processes
- Factory adjustment of zero and span
- Tooling kits: preconfigured software packages and electronics kits for quick and easy integration into customer systems
Process adaptationChoice among common process connection variants (including hygienic versions) and various seals. The open, modular system allows variation of the module rear side and potting-capable designs. The external shape of the pressure sensor is freely designable so the finished sensor fits into the customer's product.
Electrical connectionVarious connection options (connector/cable) and selection of output signals: voltage or current output as well as digital signals (SPI, UART). Optional temperature and switching outputs.
Pressure rangePressure ranges from 100 mbar to 100 bar for absolute or gauge pressure. Numerous standardized ranges within 100 bar are available. Custom pressure ranges can be set. The sensing element performance is adapted to the application requirements.
OptionalATEX/IECEx component certification, suitability for hygienic applications as well as legally regulated and MID applications. Selection of final test reports, certificates and additional documentation is possible.
