Using the EPHYMESS modular system for rail sensors as the basis, essentially any number of sensors can be combined with one another. Multiple temperature sensors, or temperature sensors and speed sensors, can be implemented on a wire harness with a plug connection at the same time. In practice, between 2 and 5 sensors are usually assembled on one wire harness. Isolated shields on each individual sensor or sensor group guarantee interference-free operation.
