Use EPLAN Harness proD to efficiently design and document your cabling on 3D mechanical models – the software allows you to combine your mechanical and electrotechnical designs. Optimise and digitalise typical cabling workflows, including documentation for preconfigured cable assembly. EPLAN Harness proD is the right tool for cable designs and field cabling, for instance in machine and plant system manufacturing. The software closes the gap between MCAD and ECAD and makes possible electrotechnical cable designs in 3D. Transfer electrotechnical components planned in EPLAN Electric P8 and EPLAN Pro Panel into a 3D mechanical model and create a digital representation of the cabling. Using the digital cable designs, you can derive bills of materials and further information for commercial ordering processes. Important data such as cable lengths are provided to all downstream processes, including manufacturing as well as wire harness and cable production plans. You can easily share your 3D data with co-workers and business partners via HTML export. There are many reasons to fasten cables to components. With EPLAN Harness proD, these attachment points are considered as part of the electrotechnical designs. This important information can later be used for the correct mechanical planning of drilling holes. EPLAN Harness proD lets you create both round and angled cable routes. This eliminates the need to manually fill round bundles – the software automatically takes care of it for you.
