Description

EVD-VE series The EVD-VE series give high value for your investment. Eurovacuum EVD-VE series pumps are Oil Recirculation, Single or Double Stage, Air-Cooled and Direct Driven. They are compact in design and reach a very good ultimate vacuum. Easy installation due to air-cooling without any cooling water requirements. The pumps are direct driven, so they do not require belts. They are available in a standard version and in a SV-version which has a vacuum safety valve and a manometer on the pump inlet. On special request we can supply them also in an version with a gas ballast valve for pumping of condensable gasses. Operating principle The Oil Sealed Rotary Vane Pump operates according to the rotary vane principal. The rotor is eccentrically positioned in the pump cylinder and has machined slots for sliding vanes. The centrifugal force of the rotation pushed vanes out these slots and towards the wall of the cylinder. The gas is compressed and pushed into the second stage of the pump (double stage pumps) or directly to the exhaust (single stage pumps). The second stage works the same as the first stage. On the exhaust side of the second stage the gas is compressed against the exhaust valve into the pump oil housing. The oil is feeding consistently by an oil pump to the cylinders from oil sump for sealing and lubrication.
