Description

Part of Extronics’ AeroScout RTLS solutions, the EX5210R is a low frequency tag exciter for use in outdoor environments. Based on the same technology as the leading EX5200 indoor exciter, the EX5210R adds a robust enclosure to enable use in harsher environments. Features Rugged reinforced polycarbonate enclosure Long range of up to 6m Detect and manage tags Changed tag behaviour (activated or deactivated) Connect multiple exciters for greater coverage The EX5210R tag exciter transmits low frequency (LF) signals to trigger AeroScout active RFID Tags as they pass through a chokepoint or as they approach the exciter. The tags in turn transmit messages to compatible Wi-Fi access points in the tag’s signal range. In the MobileView software system, this confirms that a tagged asset has passed through a gate, doorway, or some other well-defined area. In this way, you can identify when personnel reach an emergency muster point, enter a dangerous area, or travel between different locations. Some examples of applications: Inventory management Get real-time knowledge of inventory levels without manual checks or barcode scanning. The EX5210R can automatically determine which assets are within each defined area, so inventory records can be updated Process control Get a real-time view of your production line; track the location of equipment, carriers, and WIP inventory during the production cycle using EX5210R exciters at key points. Real-time alerts You can use the EX5210R exciter to trigger automated events and alerts based on the location of assets and personnel.
