The BowlFLOOR range has been developed from our successful Cinema range of acoustic isolation solutions. Our engineering team have developed 3 options for this growing market. Farrat has pioneered the acoustic isolation of bowling floors. The unique challenge of three widely varying load profiles across a bowling lane (approach, lanes, pinsetter) combined with the very low-frequency vibrational energy induced by a bowling ball impact led to the development of the BowlFLOOR range. BowlFLOOR is designed to deliver the greatest balance of acoustic isolation, performance, and cost, meeting the specific needs of bowling alleys. Where an existing structure can’t support the load of a heavyweight floating slab, BowlFLOOR LITE utilises high dynamic deflection polyurethane to extract the maximum possible low-frequency isolation from bowling lane structures that don’t incorporate an additional floating slab. BowlFLOOR PRO is designed to deliver the greatest balance of acoustic isolation, performance and cost. An intermediate layer between the bowling lane and the isolator boosts acoustic isolation performance by providing additional mass damping and reducing dynamic stiffness. Comprising of dry-trades only, BowlFLOOR PRO is also designed to deliver optimal installation speed. Providing high levels of acoustic isolation to bowling lanes is difficult as the isolators must be soft and compressible, yet resist varying loads across the approach, lanes and pinsetter. This has the potential to lead to inconsistent deflection.
