The Gas Stop excess flow valve device is a special safety device that has been designed for use within residential lines with natural gas and LPG passages. This device is typically installed following the service tee and towards distribution output. The unit also permits installation in other points when specified in the passage design. The Gas Stop is a fully mechanical device that utilizes a spring system to keep the valve open for continual gas stream flow. In the event of a break in the polyethylene tube connected to the valve, the increased gas flow generates a greater force than that exerted by the spring assembly, which causes the system to automatically and immediately block.
