They separate liquid phases of different densities from each other and simultaneously separate the remaining fine solid residues. Due to their special configuration, Flottweg purifier separators are optimally configured for the separation and discharge of two liquids and one solid phase. The 3-phase separator offers optimized flow conditions within the bowl to ensure maximum separation efficiency. Also with this disk separator, the discharge of solids is hardly audible. How the 3-phase separator operates The product to be clarified runs through a stationary inlet pipe into the interior of the bowl and is gently accelerated to full speed by the distributor. The disc stack in the bowl divides the product stream into many thin layers, thus creating a large surface area. Within the disc stack, the liquid mixture is separated and the solids are discharged. The liquid phases separated by centrifugal force are discharged from the bowl under pressure via two centripetal pumps. Due to the strong centrifugal force, the separated solids settle at the edge of the bowl. The separated solids are expelled periodically at full speed by a hydraulic system located in the lower part of the bowl.
