How the FW400 HTS worksDigested or excess sludge is fed from the digester into the FW400 HTS where centrifugal force separates solids and liquids. Typical inlet dry solids of approx. 2–6% can be increased to 25–35% after dewatering. Differential speed, pond depth and scroll design are adjustable to optimise retention time, compaction and separation performance.
Advanced features- Flottweg Decanter Scroll conveys solids toward the conical end at an optimal differential speed; various scroll designs available for different processes.
