Description

Product description
The C571 flow and energy computer measures flow, temperature and pressure and uses AGA8, SGERG88(91) or table determinations to calculate volume, mass and energy. Linearization improves accuracy across the entire flow range. A large logging register stores measured and calculated values. The IP66/67 aluminium field enclosure is designed for harsh weather and industrial conditions.

Advantages
  • IP66/67, Type 4X aluminium field enclosure for outdoor and industrial environments.
  • Large, versatile display with bright backlight for clear readout day and night.
  • Intuitive operation via six industrial silicone keys or free configuration software.
  • Two temperature inputs for inlet/outlet monitoring (e.g. heat exchanger).

Features
  • Supported media: air, N2, O2, H2, CO2, CH4, natural gas, ideal gas and other gases.
  • Displays calculated mass flow, (base) volumetric flow and power at actual conditions.
  • Calculates totalized values for (base) volume, mass and energy.
  • Determines density, enthalpy, specific heat and compressibility (SGERG88 and AGA8 G1, G2).
  • Designed for single‑stream applications with customizable main screen order.
  • Data logging of process parameters and calculated values; update frequency up to 10 times per second.
  • Eleven linearization points per input to improve accuracy across ranges.
  • Accepts pulse, (stacked) differential pressure and 4–20 mA flow inputs.
  • Pt100 / Pt500 / Pt1000 temperature inputs with Callendar–van Dusen compensation.
  • Wide ambient temperature capability: -40°C to +55/+70°C depending on configuration.
  • Multiple language support and large graphical interface with prominent digits.

Applications
  • Industrial gas measurement: natural gas, hydrogen, CO2 and other industrial gases.
  • Single or stacked differential pressure flowmeters and averaging systems.
  • Outdoor and harsh environments: rain, snow, sand, saline atmospheres and temperatures from -40°C to +70°C.

Technical specifications
  • Signal Inputs
    • Flowmeter inputs: One HF pulse input (NAMUR, coil, PNP, NPN, reed or active). One to three analog inputs: 4–20 mA active or passive. Suitable for 2 or 3 stacked dP sensors.
  • Temperature inputs
    • Two Pt100, Pt500 or Pt1000 inputs (2-, 3- or 4-wire) with Callendar–van Dusen equation.
    • Two 4–20 mA (active/passive) temperature inputs.
  • Pressure inputs
    • One analog pressure input: 4–20 mA active or passive.
  • Status inputs
    • Two configurable status inputs for external alarms or signals.
  • Signal outputs
    • Pulse outputs: Two configurable passive transistor outputs, selectable from calculated values. Max frequency 2 kHz.
  • Alarm outputs
    • Two passive transistor outputs and two relay outputs, configurable for events, errors or threshold warnings.
  • Analog outputs
    • One or two isolated 4–20 mA outputs (active/passive) for retransmission of selected calculated values.
  • Supply / Power
    • Power supply: 16–27 V DC or 100–230 V AC.
    • Sensor supply: analog inputs >20 V DC when active. Pulse inputs: 5.4 / 8.2 / 12 / 22 V DC.
  • Hazardous area
    • Non‑sparking Zone 2: pending.
  • Communication
