Description

Product overview
Fluke Calibration provides laminar flow elements (molbloc-L) for flows from 1 sccm to 100 slm. Molblocs are designed to be used with molbox mass flow terminals and COMPASS software to provide traceable mass flow transfer standards.

Key features
  • Flow ranging from 1 sccm to 100 slm.
  • Molbloc flow path is the gap between a piston and a close-fitting cylindrical bore in the molbloc body.
  • Different flow ranges are achieved by varying the size of the gap; larger bodies are used for higher flow ranges.

Features at a glance
  • Compatible with molbox1+, molbox2, molbox RFM terminals and COMPASS software.
  • Integrated filter to protect against contamination.
  • Integral gas temperature conditioning and measurement.
  • Continuous, real-time reading and full automation capability.
  • No moving parts.

molbloc-L Ranges
Molbloc sizes are designated by a number relative to nominal flow impedance. Nominal impedance yields nominal flow ranges when flowing nitrogen with 250 kPa absolute upstream pressure and 50 kPa differential across the molbloc. Actual flow ranges depend on gas density/viscosity and chosen molbloc operating pressure calibration options.

Models (selection shown on page)

  • 5E1 VCR-V-Q
  • 1E2 VCR-V-Q
  • 2E2 VCR-V-Q
  • 5E2 VCR-V-Q
  • 1E3 VCR-V-Q
  • 5E3 VCR-V-Q
  • 1E4 VCR-V-Q
  • 3E4 VCR-V-Q
  • 1E5 VCR-V-Q

Included with each molbloc (common delivery items)
  • Storage and shipping case.
  • Soft, reusable VCR O-rings and mounting instructions.
  • Full-range, low-pressure Nitrogen (N2) calibration by default (other calibrations or gases ordered separately).
  • Calibration report documenting traceability to NIST and measured calibration data.
