Sometimes referred to as a connecting pin, hinge pin or even panel pin, depending on how it is used, the clevis pin consists of 3 parts: a head, a shank and a transverse hole drilled in the end of the shank opposite the head.
Clevis pins are used in a wide variety of fields, including construction, agriculture, fittings, etc.
Design and characteristics
Similar to bolts but without threads, clevis pins have a hole near the end opposite the flange head.
This hole allows the insertion of a pin which, when the clevis pin is fitted, holds it in place.
Designed with a flat or domed head, clevis pins are used as quick, safe and economical fasteners for agricultural, industrial and other applications.
Essential fasteners for anchor and chain shackles, they are compatible with various wire pins or safety pins.
Allowing connected parts to rotate or swivel around the linkage pin, the clevis pin can absorb lateral stresses and also has the great advantage of not loosening due to vibration.
