The hybrid solution that combines fiber and graphite. Gasket solutions made from our novatec® material combine the advantages of fiber and pure graphite gaskets. The admixture of pure graphite gives novatec® gasket solutions better temperature and media resistance. novatec® is therefore ideal for applications in which conventional fiber gaskets do not work or are no longer reliable and where mineral gasket solutions (e.g. novaphit® or novamica®) are “over engineered”, e.g. in: Boiler systems (as ignition electrode gaskets) HVAC systems Household appliances (steam cookers, ironing stations, steam cleaners, etc.) Custom geometries made from novatec® 825 are also characterized by their residual stress and adaptability. They are generally used in systems and modules subject to high thermal loads. novatec® 825 gasket solutions are used everywhere media-conducting systems (e.g. oil, water, steam, weak acids and alkalis) must work reliably and with low loss at high temperatures. novatec® 825 gasket solutions are available in thicknesses from 0.8 to 4.8 mm and come standard with an anti-stick coating for better removal. The standard color is cranberry.
