The Gas Dome 300 is a floating hood for N2O and methane monitoring at wastewater treatment plants. It floats on the aeration tank and collects the rising off-gas from a defined area of 1.00 m². The gas flows without a blower through a hose to the gas analyzer, which calculates the emission rate in mg/(m²·h).
Applications:
- Aeration tanks of municipal and industrial wastewater treatment plants
- Measuring nitrous oxide (N2O), methane (CH4) and CO2, optional O2
- Reporting under the EU Urban Wastewater Treatment Directive, proving process optimisation, measurement campaigns
Your benefits:
- Defined reference area: every value refers to 1.00 m² and can be compared between tanks, days and operating modes.
- No blower, no pump: the pressure under the hood drives the gas to the cabinet.
- Sealed against the tank: a skirt dips 20–30 cm into the water and is weighted with a chain, so no ambient air gets under the hood.
- Easy second measuring point: one more hood and hose on the same analyzer.
Technical data (extract):
- Collection area: 1.00 m² (inside dimension)
- Design: pyramid on a PVC-U floating frame, dark PVC outer skin, closed-cell PE buoyancy insulation
- Connection: 1½″ tank feedthrough, 40 mm hose nozzle
- Flow: 0–20 m³/h without blower, valid values from approx. 1 m³/h
- Hose: ID 40 mm, 25 m per measuring point, down to −20 °C
- Positioning: guy ropes or fixed bridge, boom for strain relief
The Gas Dome 300 is supplied as part of the Off-Gas System: in System Smart with the Smart Control 300 (N2O detection limit 10 ppmV) or in System Expert with the GA 320 (N2O detection limit 0.5 ppmV).
