Description

This DTS8600HP heat-regenerated adsorption dryer serves as a CO2 adsorber. We designed it for a customer in the Chemical and pharmaceutical industry who opérâtes an industrial park. Here, the compressed air dryer is used as part of an air separation plant. Air is broken down into its individual elements - e.g. oxygen, argon. Duringthis process, the air cools down to températures below -150°C. Both water and CO2 freeze in this température range. For this reason, the DTS8600FIP is installed upstream: it removes water and CO2 from the air, makes the air extremely dry and prevents the compressed air line from freezing. The compressed air demand and the corresponding volume flows are extremely high in this example. We have designed the system to be correspondingly powerful.
