The Fumex control unit range provides a complete automation solution for both local extraction systems and vehicle exhaust extraction systems. The range includes specially adapted and proven components, together with recommended system configurations, to help create efficient, reliable and energy-saving ventilation solutions for many types of facilities.
For both source extraction and exhaust extraction, the control units can manage fan start and stop, automatic damper operation and time-delay functions. Depending on the system design, operation can be manual or automatic, and control can be activated by switches, push-buttons, radio transmitters, hose reel or balancing block switches, or sensors. This makes it possible to adapt the control strategy to the actual workflow and ventilation demand.
The system range also includes frequency converters for variable fan speed control. Used together with the ST 300 pressure sensor, the SFC frequency converter maintains constant negative pressure in the duct system and adjusts fan speed according to the number of active workstations or exhaust points. This improves operating economy, lowers noise levels and ensures that the correct airflow is maintained throughout the system. Manual variable control with potentiometer or two-step control is also available.
For local extractors, Fumex control units can also be combined with many types of sensors, such as gas, heat, light and vibration sensors, giving additional flexibility for application-specific automation. For vehicle exhaust extraction, the control system can coordinate fans and dampers in automatic rail and hose reel systems, allowing extraction to operate only when required.
By combining control of local extraction and vehicle exhaust extraction within one automation concept, the Fumex control unit range offers a flexible and scalable solution for workshops and industrial facilities that want simpler system management, lower energy consumption and dependable day-to-day operation.
