The CoolTest Mini Kit by GESERCO is a self-contained field test kit designed for the monitoring of in-service engine cooling fluids.


The GESERCO CoolTest Mini Kit allows for monitoring 3 important characteristics of the engine cooling liquid:

• Chloride content. Measurement range: 1–50 mg/L Cl¯
• Nitrite. Measurement range: 0.1–3.0 g/L NO2¯
• pH. Measurement range: pH 6.0–10.0

Measured Parameters
The CoolTest Mini Kit enables simple, fast and reliable assessment of the fundamental properties of coolant fluids.


It is particularly suitable for:

• Detecting chloride contamination

Chlorides are corrosive agents that can damage cooling system metals (aluminum, steel, cast iron). Excessive chloride levels may accelerate corrosion and reduce engine service life.

• Checking nitrite concentration

Nitrites contribute to the internal protection of the cooling circuit. An incorrect concentration can reduce coolant effectiveness and increase the risk of wear or component degradation.

• Measuring pH

pH reflects the chemical balance of the coolant. Values that are too acidic or too alkaline can cause deposits, corrosion, or premature degradation of additives.


Measuring principle
The tests included in the CoolTest Mini Kit are based on simple and reliable measurement methods adapted for field use:

• Colorimetric reactive test strips
• Colorimetric reagent solutions
• Each test provides a rapid reading based on visual comparison with a dedicated color scale.
