Overview The Getac EX80 is a fully rugged 8" tablet designed and certified for use in hazardous and explosive environments. It is Getac's first Zone 0 device and holds ATEX / IECEx Zone 0 and UL913 (Class I / II Division 1) certifications. The device features a sealed anti-static exterior and surface temperature control to limit ignition risk from electrostatic discharge, hot surfaces, heat energy or friction. Intended sectors include oil & gas, petrochemical plants, manufacturing and munitions storage.

Design & Display The EX80 offers a compact ergonomic design for comfortable one-hand use and an 8" IPS touchscreen. The sunlight-readable WXGA display with LumiBond® 2.0 optical bonding delivers 600 nits brightness for improved durability and visibility. The touchscreen supports multiple touch modes for use in rain, with gloves and with the included hard-tip stylus.

Mobile Productivity & Power The tablet ships with Windows 10 Pro and provides more than 8 hours of battery life on a single charge. An included charging dock is provided. The device supports productivity features such as a Full HD front webcam and an 8 MP rear camera with LED flash for images and video.

Connectivity & Accessories Built-in connectivity options include dual-band 802.11 a/b/g/n Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, dedicated GPS and optional 4G LTE cellular data. The EX80 includes a rotatable hand strap that secures the device in portrait and landscape orientations and doubles as a kickstand and stylus holder. A variety of carrying and mounting accessories are available, such as shoulder straps and office docks.

Security Security features include TPM 2.0 for secure start-up, BitLocker encryption for data protection, support for multifactor authentication (including Windows Login and a contactless Smartcard HF RFID reader) and optional remote disable/asset protection via Absolute DDS.

Durability & Environmental The EX80 meets military-grade robustness and environmental standards: MIL‑STD‑810G and IP67 certified, rated to survive drops up to 6 ft (≈1.8 m), resistant to rain, moisture, vibration and shock, and MIL‑STD‑810G salt fog tested. Operational temperature: -21°C to 50°C (-5.8°F to 122°F). Storage temperature: -51°C to 71°C (-60°F to 160°F).
