Description

Reflection standards are used to calibrate and verify spectrophotometers, spectral colorimeters, and other spectroscopic instruments. For the 100% adjustment of the measuring devices, white standards with the highest possible reflectance are used. Linearity tests are performed with greyscale standards of different reflectances. BN-Rxx-D2 reflection standards are made of white ODM98 and grey to black pigmented ODMP. ODM98 offers the highest possible reflectance in the wavelength range 250 nm to 2500 nm and is therefore commonly used as a 100 % reference in spectrophotometers. As a translucent material, the material also offers near perfect Lambertian reflection. The reflective standards have a diameter of 50.8 mm / 2" and are supplied in a black housing. The protective lid closes simply with a quarter turn avoiding the need for fiddly fine threads. The BN-Rxx-D2 reflection standards are available with reflectivities of 98%, 70%, 50%, 20% and 2%. Traceable calibrations Each reflection standard is supplied with an individually prepared calibration certificate for the wavelength range from 250 nm to 2450 nm. The calibration is carried out by the Calibration Laboratory for Optical Radiation Measurements at Gigahertz-Optik GmbH. The calibration is traceable to the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB).
