OverviewThe Gleason Intra SFTX series provides inline 100% single‑flank inspection for external single or compound gears. Designed for integration in automated lines or with supplied automation, it supports production and end‑of‑line quality assurance of drivetrain components.
Typical Applications- Automotive EV gears
- Rotor and input shafts (assembled or bare)
- Intermediate assemblies in any configuration
- Final drive output gears
- Differential assemblies
Workpiece size capability (table)Workpiece diameter, max.: 300 mm
Workpiece length, max.: 450 mm
Face width, typical: 80 mm
TA Torsional Acceleration TestingThe Intra TA module uses a programmable CNC with constant center distance and supports test speeds up to ±2000 rpm on either flank in both directions. It delivers Intra "Pure Torque" up to ±30 Nm and enables multi‑pass tests at varying torque levels and speeds. The TA system is certified for accuracy and systematic noise; order resolution is programmable from 0.125 to 1 with repeatability better than 1.2 dB. A configurable synchronous order range from 256 to 4096 accommodates demanding applications. Optional spindle condition monitoring via accelerometers is available.
Single Flank TE AnalysisIntra SFTX evaluates static and dynamic transmission error (TE) of each flank versus a master/mating gear using high‑precision measurement. The "Pure Torque" drive reduces motor resonance. Automatic calibration removes fixture/master errors and aligns to journals. Advanced order analysis (ghosts, harmonics), SPC evaluation, flexible visualization and a "Worst TE Order" indicator provide rapid, reliable quality assessment.
Real-Time Process ControlMeasures key DIN 3961 gear parameters on every flank: profile and helix deviations, cumulative pitch deviation (concentricity), overball dimension, circularity (worst order), and surface defects. Integrated FFT order analysis enables precise frequency‑domain diagnostics and fast root‑cause identification.
SoftwareCRITERION Analysis Software supports the full inspection and analysis workflow for gears and other rotationally symmetrical parts. The intuitive HMI and configurable charts/reporting support standards such as AGMA, DIN, ISO, JIS, GOST and China GB.
Automation and Operation ModesAvailable as fully automatic (hands‑free, high‑volume production) or operator‑assisted (semi‑automatic) configurations for mixed or lower‑volume production. Both modes deliver the same high‑precision single‑flank measurement performance.
Axial Alignment OptionAn integrated axial alignment option is available for coaxial gearboxes with compound gears to control the exact rotational relationship between stages and improve measurement accuracy and NVH insight.
Proven TechnologyMore than 20 years of development, hundreds of installations worldwide and proven end‑of‑line correlation. Intra SFTX provides advanced NVH capabilities with super‑high‑resolution, metrology‑based transmission error analysis.
