Description

Overview
The heater provides 2.5 kW of heating power for pre- and post-weld heat treatments. The Globe range of Safe Extra Low Voltage (SELV) 48 V heaters is designed for applications that require a 48 V output classified as SELV. Globe also supplies a 30 V SELV heater range.

Construction and Features
The 48 V ceramic heating element is manufactured from high-grade nickel-chrome (NiCr) 80/20, 19-strand wire. It is insulated with durable, interlocking ceramic beads made of sintered alumina oxide. Each ceramic heater includes a nickel 212 welded coil tail to allow safe, easy handling by technicians during use. A white marker bead denotes the start of the cold tail. A twistlock connector with insulated sleeve is fitted to the end of each tail for connection to a 3-way splitter.
