Greifenberg’s VF 1800 FREEMAN slide winch is a top-of-the-range forestry winch, both in terms of performance and in terms of technology. The machine frame is made entirely of Ergal aluminum alloy, with mechanical characteristics which are 50% higher than those of normal steel, and weight reduced by 60%. The transmission uses biodegradable hydraulic oil. All components are of high quality; Linde variable capacity pump, axial piston hydraulic motor, additional load sensing hydraulic pump with decelerating function that operates independently from pre-set thresholds when traveling downhill, allowing high speeds without putting diesel engine in severe working conditions. To facilitate the operations of its helicopter transportation, the machine can be disassembled into two parts, which are then easy and safe to re-assemble.
