The rotary COATING unit is designed to coat uniform, round granules with a film of a product (solid or liquid).
OPERATION of the coating unit: The product to be coated is fed intermittently into the bowl using a flow distributor, preferably located at the top of the bowl. The product is driven by the rotation of the bowl and rolls along. During rotation, the product can receive various coating agents, solid or liquid, which are sprayed onto the moving granules. During this cycle, the bowl can be heated or cooled by a double jacket according to a predetermined temperature curve, thus heating or cooling the product. At the end of the cycle, the product can be discharged laterally or by pouring it out of the bowl.
DESIGN: Highly resistant welded sheet metal structure. Round tank made of carbon steel, or stainless steel for corrosive products, mounted on a specially adapted ball bearing track. Tank lid according to product specifications and material introduction system. Geared motor with variable speed drive. Tilting system via right-angle drive. Different preparations of the product to be bound can be adjusted according to the flow rate, temperature, concentration, and viscosity of the product.
ADVANTAGES: Very flexible to use because of the excellent range of adjustments. Really silent running. Excellent sealing between bowl and cover for high-volatility products.
