For a heavy duty, easy to handle and extremely safe trench cover system, TrenchPlate is the modern lightweight alternative to traditional steel road plates. Made from high strength composite plastic, each section weighs only 44kg, so they are easily installed by two workers without the need for a hiab crane. They are molded in a high visibility yellow colour for increased traffic awareness and speed calming. Rubber nosings deaden noise for residential areas, and an anti-slip tread surface provides superior traction. Patented drop-pins automatically locate the TrenchPlates over the trench, enabling HGV’s up to 44 tonnes to safely drive over them. Safety is further enhanced by lugs on the edges of each section which interlocks them all together. Maximum wheel loading is 6000kgs over trenches up to 700mm.
