FASTN is the first active and universal anchorage system for Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs). Improving safety and saving lives on construction sites is a major challenge that requires daily attention.
The FASTN system enables construction companies to increase the safety of MEWP operators by detecting the correct anchoring of their safety harness. It is the first universal, connected system for fall prevention from a MEWP.
FASTN provides 4 major function:
- Harness Detection: The operator is immediately alerted by an audible and visual alarm when using the MEWP without being attached to the FASTN system. If the harness lanyard is not connected after a few seconds, FASTN also alerts the site with a blue flash and a louder alarm.
- Anti-Bypass Function: If the operator tries to bypass the FASTN system by using something other than the harness carabiner, the system will detect inactivity and activate the wake-up function to alert both the operator and the site of potential misuse of the MEWP.
- Operator Wake-Up Function: When the operator is connected to FASTN and inactive for 1 minute, the system will alert both the operator and the site of a potential health issue.
- Operator Fall or Ejection: When the operator is connected to FASTN and the system detects abnormal pressure, it immediately alerts the site of a potential fall or ejection of the operator.
FASTN is universal and can be easily installed on all types of MEWPs. The system is available as original equipment on Haulotte machines or as a retrofit kit to upgrade your existing fleet. The system consists of a 'control box' and a 'detection box', wired together and installed in the MEWP basket.
