The Power Distribution Unit (PDU) is designed to connect up to 4 or up to 8 batteries in parallel and interface them with an electrical drive system. The unit provides up to 5 or up to 10 outputs for consumers within the electrical installation. Lines from batteries are routed through safety fuses with individually configurable fuse values. Electrical power is distributed via one positive and one negative busbar. An optional Battery Control Unit (BCU) manages the parallel battery set and serves as a communication interface between the batteries and the drive system.
