Description

Versatile rescue stretcher with patented integral casualty harness. Lightweight and supremely portable The POD rescue stretcher can be used for both horizontal and vertical lifting for rescue from a wide range of confined, exposed or high locations. It features a patented integral casualty harness with single quick connect buckle to secure casualty. Tested to dynamic performance requirements of EN361:2002 (full body fall arrest harness) with mass of 140 kg falling 4 m. The harness is fully adjustable to to fit a wide range of casualty sizes. Durable semi-ridged plastic base with a low friction construction allows the POD stretcher to easily slide or drag over surfaces. A key feature of the POD rescue stretcher is that it is spine board compatible, whilst retaining full functionality of the integral harness. When in use, the integral harness is always connected to the lifting points whether in horizontal or vertical lift for complete casualty security. The orientation can be modified by adjusting the lifting bridle to pivot the stretcher between horizontal and vertical position, for passage through complex/confined spaces. The POD also features an integrated head restraint and foot stirrup, five casualty restraint straps for quick and secure fitting to the casualty. 8 low profile handles reduce the risk of snagging, allowing multiple handlers to manoeuvre stretcher through difficult environments. X-Ray translucent and CT scanner “friendly”. It is also infection control compliant with washable base sheet and removable textile components for disinfection and replacement. 10 year lifespan for all parts, textile and plastic.
