LOCTITE® 518 is a primerless, form-in-place anaerobic flange sealant designed to seal close-fitting joints between rigid metal flanges. It cures in the presence of minor surface contaminants and remains semi-flexible to accommodate small flange movements. Provides immediate resistance to low pressure after assembly and is suitable for aluminium substrates requiring good flexibility. Typical gap fill performance is up to 0.25 mm (0.01").

Substrate compatibility and performance
Works on active metals (e.g. mild steel) and on some passive substrates such as aluminium with low copper content. Cures anaerobically between close-fitting metal surfaces and remains semi-flexible to accommodate minor flange movement. Delivers immediate low-pressure sealing after assembly.
