Description

The HM1000A Thermal Desorption mass spectrometer for simple phthalate screening supports the new RoHS 2.0 directive for electronic components. The HM1000A benchtop analyzer uses an advanced combination of APCI (atmospheric pressure chemical ionization) and infrared spectroscopy to determine the total amount of phthalates within a sample. If the total amount is above the regulated value given by RoHS 2.0, then those samples can be tested further using more advanced equipment. Samples that are within the regulated amount do not need further analysis, helping to reduce the total analysis time. Quick and simple testing for phthalates The HM1000A offers a simple screening test that enables manufacturers to rapidly find out the total phthalate level within a sample, such as a PCB. This test takes only 10 minutes, which is much less than more complicated testing methods. Supports high-volume production A test takes less than 10 minutes, but the HM1000A makes volume analysis even easier as it includes an auto-sampler that can take up to 50 samples at once. The benchtop analyzer can then run the analysis of these 50 samples in as little as 8 hours. Low running costs Unlike other methods of phthalate detection, the HM1000A costs very little to run. The sample holders are inexpensive and as the test is taken in nitrogen, you don’t have to buy and store expensive helium. Intuitive and easy to use The HM1000A is so easy to use that it can be used by anyone with just a little training. The mass spectrometer's software has been designed to be intuitive and the results are presented in an easy to interpret format. The results can also be exported via Excel.
