Overview
The RF-13 acoustic hood is engineered for industrial and outdoor telephone installations in high-noise and harsh environments. Manufactured in GRP with a perforated polypropylene inner liner and non-hygroscopic acoustic insulation, the unit provides weatherproof protection while improving speech intelligibility at the handset.

Noise reduction and construction
The RF-13 achieves typical noise attenuation of 23–28 dB by combining a 3 mm perforated polypropylene liner and multiple layers of sound-insulating materials. The inner back wall incorporates a metal plate and a removable GRP shelf providing easy cable entry and secure mounting for telephone equipment.
Telephone layout and mounting
Standard provision includes a telephone mounting panel with a 200 mm deep shelf and an included telephone bracket. Standard accessories: two cold-rolled steel back mounting brackets. Optional mounting plates and brackets are available in outdoor-grade cold-rolled steel or stainless steel (SUS304, SUS316) to suit corrosive environments.
Applications
Suitable for factories, printing rooms, industrial sites, railway and transport facilities, and any installation where improved call intelligibility and protection of telephone equipment in high-noise areas is required. Can be integrated with PAGA/public address and telephone systems.
Certification
Relevant standards for associated telephone systems include EN50121 (railway EMC), EN55022 (emissions), EN55024 (immunity), FCC and ITU‑T Recommendation K21.
