The Continuous Rotary Blancher from Hughes Equipment can be used as a food blancher, cooker and cooler. It is ideal for processing a wide range of vegetables as well as meats, pasta, dry beans and rice.

Each rotary blancher/cooker/cooler we build starts with a solid foundation that includes more standard components than any other on the market.
Products enter the blancher’s reel via a stainless steel infeed chute. A frequency drive is used to control the speed for the proper blanching time. Optional steam controls and steam piping loops allow the temperature to be set and self-regulated.
The blancher uses direct steam injection to heat water for the blanching process.
A secondary unit can be engaged for cooling the cooked product. Because that unit is separated, energy needs are reduced.
Its reel design helps conserve space while also making it easier to maintain and clean.
Hughes Equipment manufactures these stainless steel cooker/coolers in different sizes to accommodate your food processing needs. Sizes range in diameter from 36″ to 72″, and in length from 4′ to 28′.
