available with standard journals
Due to their low dead weight, aluminum profile clamping shafts are very popular in applications requiring frequent Winding Shafts changes. They are particularly well-suited for standard winding cores with a diameter of 50 to 200 mm and are optimally designed for medium loads. An additional advantage is the low purchase price of these Winding Shafts.
Pneumatic expansion shafts also available in lightweight design
Lightweight pneumatic expansion shafts are a response to the requirements of many customers looking for particularly light solutions to protect the health of their employees and ensure occupational safety. For this reason, we at IBD Wickeltechnik have developed this special variant. We rely on a delicately crafted, material-reduced aluminum profile. Despite this slim design, our clamping shafts are characterized by robustness and a high load-bearing capacity.
available for core diameters 3″, 6″, and 8″
max. load 500 kg (3″) and 1,800 kg (6″, 8″)
up to 30% lighter than conventional expansion shafts
Available for coreless winding with expansion shells
By using enclosing expansion shells, our pneumatic clamping shafts are particularly well-suited for coreless winding. Coreless winding is very frequently used for winding web-shaped waste. Furthermore, they offer clear advantages for thin-walled winding cores, as the shells have an almost closed contour and thus cause only minimal deformation of the cores.
