Non-contact edge sensing via sound wave
Ideal for opaque (light-impermeable) materials
Compact and robust aluminum housing
High measurement accuracy regardless of optical properties
Insensitive to dust and ambient light
The SU-L series ultrasonic sensors are designed for high-precision, non-contact detection of material edges. They operate by emitting sound waves, the reflection or interruption of which is used to determine the exact web position. This proven technology is particularly reliable for dense, opaque materials such as paper, cardboard, plastic films, or woven fabrics. Since the measurement is not based on optical properties, these sensors offer maximum stability and are insensitive to changing light conditions or dusty production environments.
