Description

Overview
Compatta Light is a semi-automatic mobile compact shelving system made of shelving units mounted on mobile bases that run on floor-integrated rails driven by a motorization mechanism. Moving the bases opens an access aisle to the stored material. The operator can open and close aisles manually by push-handle, handwheel or using the control panel located on the front of each mobile base.

Key advantages
  • Space saving: saves over 50% of floor space compared with conventional shelving.
  • Capacity increase: up to 90% more storage capacity on the same footprint.
  • Protection: shields stored items from unauthorized access, light, dust and humidity.
  • High accessibility and selectivity of stored items.
  • Efficient capacity/cost ratio and low maintenance costs.

Functional features and accessories
  • Movement options: manual push, handwheel operation, electro-mechanical with control panel.
  • Mobile bases up to 12 m long.
  • Integrated anti-tilt systems.
  • Seismic design available.
  • DUPLEX model available to create a second shelving level accessible by attached stairs.
  • Front and rear panels available in various colors (standard grey and other finishes).
  • Safety sensors: photoelectric barriers on entry fronts and inside aisles to stop movement if operators or obstacles are detected.
  • Interior customization for different materials (books, lever-arch files, suspension folders, maps, paintings, electronic media, etc.).

Main applications
  • Document archiving for public institutions
  • Banking document storage
  • Library storage and conservation
  • Storage of historical collections and artworks in museums and galleries
  • Automated archive furniture for document management
