PNMA II – PROFINET Measuring Point For Nonreactive Access in PROFINET The PROFINET measuring point PNMA II allows nonreactive access for telegram recording in PROFINET and other Ethernet-based networks (e.g. Industrial Ethernet) during active production. For harsh environments or applications outside the control cabinet, the IP67-certified PNMX variant is available. Highlights of the PNMA II: When connecting a PROFINET-INspektor® NT via the PNMA II, only two additional patch cables are required (no crossover cable needed). In case of power failure, PROFINET communication remains unaffected. Power supply for additional analytic tools through the UOUT (24VDC) connector. PNMX IP67 version for rugged production environments. Function: Analysis tools (e.g. PN-INspektor® NT or laptop) can be nonreactively connected to the two monitor jacks, enabling simultaneous monitoring of both communication directions. To evaluate the results, telegrams from both directions can be overlaid. The PNMA II/PNMX does not discard error telegrams but forwards them for accurate analysis. Properties: Supports monitoring of all protocols. Handles all packet sizes without packet loss. All connection ports are on the front panel for easy access. No additional effort is required to connect measurement devices. Tested compatibility with the PROFINET-INspektor® NT. No free switch port is needed. Bi-directional data transmission up to 100 Mbps. No network interruption when connecting diagnostic tools.
