Horizontal bag filters by INSTAL-FILTER S.A. are based on a proven surface filtration method, where dust separation occurs on the outer surface of the filter bag. A properly designed gas inlet system ensures uniform gas distribution and optimal utilization of the entire filtration area. High-quality filter media are selected individually depending on process conditions – from standard materials to advanced high-temperature and chemically resistant fabrics. Additionally, the filters can be equipped with pre-separation chambers that protect the filter bags from coarse, abrasive, or glowing particles, extending their lifespan and stabilizing system operation.

The optimized gas flow direction significantly impacts filter bag lifetime, reduces compressed air consumption, and minimizes operational costs and pressure losses. The design ensures safe and convenient maintenance through large access doors to the clean gas chamber, as well as a stable and durable filter bag fastening system. The optimized bag geometry allows efficient use of space and compact unit dimensions.

The filters can be designed and manufactured in compliance with ATEX requirements, allowing safe operation in explosive dust atmospheres. Depending on the application, appropriate explosion protection systems can be implemented, such as explosion venting, isolation, or suppression systems.
