IF FILTROCYCLONE units are used in various industrial sectors. Thanks to their construction compliant with the ATEX directive, they are particularly suitable for applications involving explosive dusts—for example, in the wood industry, furniture production, and biomass processing installations. The maximum capacities specified in this data sheet refer to these types of applications. For other applications, filter selection should be carried out in consultation with our technical department. When used for non-explosive dusts, the filtrocyclones are supplied without explosion protection features. IF FILTROCYCLONE devices combine the functions of a cyclone separator and a bag filter. This design enables the preliminary separation of larger fractions in the cyclone section, followed by fine dust filtration in the bag filter section. The dust collectors are equipped with vertically arranged filter bags and an automatic filter bag regeneration system using compressed air. Depending on customer requirements, IF FILTROCYCLONE units can be equipped with: A support structure with access ladders and an operator platform Mounting feet for installation on the customer’s structure (subject to prior agreement) Various safety systems for Ex (ATEX) execution By default, the devices are manufactured in the ATEX version with the following protections: Explosion vent membranes Membranes with explosion directional deflectors Other types of protection are available upon request (e.g., flameless explosion venting devices).
