The INSYS Powerline GP provides the connection between the charging station (EVSE) and an electric vehicle. It follows the ISO 15118-3 for intelligent charging as per ISO/IEC 15118. The device enables communication via powerline standard HomePlug Green PHYTM, allows coupling of the powerline Green PHYTM signal to the pilot line, and features an extended temperature range. Coupling of the powerline signal to the powerline may be done upon request. The device requires a supply voltage of 10 ... 60 V DC and has a power consumption of 1.5 W when idle and 2 W when at work. The INSYS Powerline GP can easily connect to the EVSE controller via an Ethernet cable. A version with the SLAC protocol as per ISO 15118-3 is also available.
