Applications Intersam coils are designed for air conditioning, industrial and refrigeration systems. They are used for cooling or heating liquids, vapor condensation, direct expansion and refrigerant transfer. Fluid exchange occurs inside the tubes while air exchange occurs across the fins. Coils are custom-built and can be supplied as the core of Intersam units or delivered separately for integration into other equipment.
General specifications Multiple configurations are available depending on tube diameter and materials. Series A and B are manufactured in copper; Ax and Bx series are manufactured in stainless steel. All coils undergo leak testing: they are pressurized with dry compressed air up to 38 Kg/cm2 and submerged in a water tank to detect leaks. Evaporator coils and condensers are pressure-charged and supplied with a howitzer for verification upon receipt. Each coil receives a quality seal and a reference/manufacturing number to ensure traceability.
Materials and construction Fins are offered in aluminum, pre-lacquered aluminum, copper or stainless steel; any of these can receive the Bronz-Glow treatment recommended for corrosive environments. The frame structure is fully riveted between frames and stringers for increased rigidity. Tube perforations include protective collars to prevent breakage. Tubes and manifolds are produced to industry standards with appropriate wall thicknesses.
