Screw conveyor systems are conveyor systems used for bulk goods and are based on the working principle of Archimedes screw. They can carry the material to be moved horizontally, obliquely and vertically. In the same way, processing steps such as mixing, dehydrating or compaction can be carried out during transport. It is also possible to carry out cooling or drying during transport. Applications: Foods, animal feeds, fertilizers, chemicals, construction materials, etc. Screw conveyor systems consists of a screw channel, a conveyor screw, screwed channel covers and a geared motor suitable for the respective application. The channel receives the conveyor screw for its entire length and is equipped with at least one outlet connection. Flat and smooth surfaces minimize possible material residues. Due to gravity and friction of the transported goods on the channel walls, the product is prevented from rotating with the screw. The product continues to move in this way. If the friction on the walls at a high fill level is too small, wall rubbing must be made through centrifugal force, which may require high rpm values of 250 - 400 rpm.
