Product overviewThe EM2V and EM5V vacuum dryers are industrial vacuum drying units designed for small to medium carpentry workshops to dry limited volumes of timber with controlled, low‑temperature cycles. The system is managed by a Vacutronic control computer for process programming and can be connected to a Windows PC for remote monitoring and cycle archiving. The control supports three operating modes to suit different production needs.
Drying processDrying is performed under vacuum at low temperatures to promote water migration and evaporation without thermal shocks that cause cracks or deformation. A steam generator maintains surface humidity to prevent surface checking while a condenser removes suspended vapor. An electric fan with heating elements circulates conditioned air through the timber stack. Periodic vacuum cycles trigger water transmigration from cell interiors to surfaces; condensate is drained regularly to stabilise chamber conditions.
Operation modes- Completely automatic
- Semi-automatic
- Manual
Main advantages- Controlled drying results: minimal cracking and warping; no significant colour changes; no internal tensions; mechanical strength preserved.
- Large material range: suitable for thick sections and timber with high initial moisture (planks, boards, semi-finished items).
- Low operating costs: reduced thermal losses and efficient use of electrical and thermal energy; limited manual intervention.
- Low maintenance: compact, rational construction with simple automatic devices and anticorrosive materials.
Main features- Autoclave in AISI 304 stainless steel
- 50 mm insulation lining
- Electric control panel with microprocessor (Vacutronic) for automatic run/stop and cycle programming
