Product overviewThe IMP-VP vacuum-pressure wood impregnator is an industrial plant for preservative treatments. It features an autoclave positioned above an immersion/storage bath and a mobile carriage for timber handling. The system automatically transfers impregnating solution between the bath and autoclave during controlled cycles, enabling compact installation inside production facilities.
Standard plant is made up of:- An autoclave designed to withstand a vacuum of -700 mmHg (standard) and operate up to -730 mmHg.
- Storage tank for the impregnant (bath to be buried or installed depending on layout).
- Small preparation tank for mixing/conditioning the impregnant.
- A vacuum pump.
- A high-pressure pump.
- An electric switchboard panel with microprocessor control and optional PC connectivity for cycle recording.
- Optional elevated autoclave configuration acting as a storage tank for the solution.
Process and featuresDuring operation the preservative is transferred from the storage bath to the autoclave containing the timber; after impregnation it returns to the bath. The cycle runs automatically and supports full-cell, empty-cell and peripheral impregnation methods. The plant can operate with hydraulic overpressure of 12 Atm and is particularly suited for aqueous preservative solutions based on dissolved salts. The autoclave-over-bath layout and carriage simplify loading/unloading and preserve the impregnant.
