Planishers remove weld build up without the use of abrasives. The weld is flattened into the parent material by a high pressure cold rolling action. On the RU series planisher, the upper and lower rolls can swivel 90 degrees allowing either longitudinal or circumferential weld planishing. The powered upper roll pulls the welded part between the hardened rolls. For longitudinal and circumferential planishing of automated GTAW and PAW welds The system will planish flat sheets, cylinders, cones, square tubes and other shapes Planishers can be custom built to match your application Standard designs have a planishing length ranging from 48” to 96” (1220 to 2440 mm). The minimum part diameter is dependent upon planisher length. Standard systems can accommodate a part diameters ranging from 8” to 36” (200 to 915 mm).
