Description

A Jetline Arc Length Control assures consistent, high quality welds on AC or DC applications by controlling the arc gap (arc length) between the torch tip and work surface. The control measures arc voltage and compares the measurements to the operator setting. It maintains the set arc length by moving the torch up or down as required via a motorized slide. Regulates the welding voltage resulting in precise, repeatable procedures using GTAW or PAW User-friendly software interface Automatically senses the welding arc voltage to maintain the arc length at the predefined distance within an accuracy of 0.1 volt Servo drive controls the torch height Helps to maintain constant weld penetration on uneven surfaces Automatically sets the starting arc gap with GTAW Standard 6” (150 mm) actuator stroke Actuator can handle up to 40 lb (18 kg) at torch mount Compensates for electrode wear Can be integrated with other Jetline controls or used as a stand-alone control Two models available: ALC-401: easy to integrate with other controls and ALC-101: designed for stand-alone applications; provides automatic control of the welding sequence
