The Nissin free-form bending machine enables tubes and beams of various radii to be bent without any tool change. The foundation for this is a patented bending head working in conjunction with a CNC control system. The radii can be seamlessly connected and be positioned in several planes. Particularly suitable areas of application for this machine are those involving workpieces of different sizes with large radii. Furthermore, large radii that cannot be machined on bending machines in conventional machining can be processed with high speed and accuracy in one single operation. The continuous shifting of the workpiece results in no idle travel in mandrel bending, enabling cycle times to be significantly reduced.
