It is recommended to use full round inlets and runners. Any type of gate can be used. Usually needle gates range from 1 - 1.5mm, but also can be used with a diameter of 0.7 mm. For latent feeding, the minimum gate depth should be half the thickness of the product, and the width should be at least double the thickness. The hot runner is more suitable for forming policarbonate raw materials.Chemical and physical properties of policarbonate injection moldingPolicarbonate is produced by propylene polymerized using a stereotactic catalyst. This linear plastic is semi-crystalline due to its ordered molecular structure. It is harder than PE material and has a higher melting point. Policarbonate homopolar polymer is higher in temperature. 0°C (32°F) becomes brittle, and for this reason many commercial grades are free heterogeneous molecular polymers policarbonate injection molding (with 1-4% ethylene). Heteromeric molecular polymers have lower heat distortion temperatures (approximately 100°C / 212°F), low transparency, gloss and hardness but strong impact strength. The raw material becomes harder with increasing ratio of ethylene. The softening point is about 150°C (302°F). High grade, surface hardness and scratch resistance of policarbonate injection molding are higher for these materials.Policarbonate injection molding does not cause environmental stress cracking. Policarbonate MFR ranges from 1 to 40; lower MFR materials have better impact strength but lower tensile strength. Heteromeric molecular polymers are more than equivalent MFR homopolar compounds. Hard. Due to crystallinity, shrinkage is relatively high (0.018 -0.025 mm/mm or 1.8 -2.5%). Shrinkage of policarbonate injection molding is more uniform than PE-HD. Increasing 30% of glass reduces shrinkage by about 0.7%. Heteromeric polymer policarbonate has good moisture resistance and acid resistance, alkali resistance and solvent resistance chemical ability with the same polar compound policarbonate.
