HSS-DMo5 metal circular saw blades With HSS-DMo5 metal circular saw blades by Karnasch you achieve first-class results when sawing in steels ≤ 800 N/mm2. HSS-DMo5 is a high-alloy high-speed steel with tungsten, vanadium and molybdenum components, for very good mechanical properties and outstanding strength with a hardness of 65 ± 1HRC. Choose from an extensive range of HSS-DMo5 metal circular saw blades which are steam-treated or Kx-coated. Steam-treated is a controlled CO2 oxidation of the surface by starting the finished circular saws in heated steam at approximately 350°C. This results in fine micropores for better distribution of the coolant, a surface hardness of 900 HV and an exceptionally fine surface coating which reduces friction extremely (coefficient of friction 0.60). A Kx tool coating generally provides significantly longer tool lives compared to steam-treated circular saw blades.
