Door holding magnets from Kendrion are electromagnetic locking devices used to keep fire barriers (fire doors, fire gates, fire valves) and conventional doors in an open state; they are released by disconnecting the power supply (e.g. via smoke switches) in case of fire.
Product range and applications- SAFE Line: wide range of variants including base magnet, versions with mounting plate, plate+clamp, in-wall, on-wall, ground mounting, swivel heads (aluminium and plastic), distance-tube, explosion-proof and certified ship models.
- STANDARD Line: cost-efficient variants for universal applications with on-wall, swivel-head and universal designs.
- Accessories: keeper (armature) plates (standard, with angle adjustment, telescopic), brackets for wall and floor installation, circuit breakers (interrupter switches) for on-wall, in-wall and explosion-protected environments.
Key application features- Designed primarily as hold-open devices for fire protection closures; must comply with applicable guidelines (e.g. DIBt where relevant).
- Also used for conventional doors in shops and entrance areas to hold doors open safely with low power consumption and high holding force.
- Variants available for ATEX (explosion protected) environments and maritime applications (DNV GL certified).
